Erasmus+ Pupil Mobility in Finland

Learn alongside Finnish pupils in a real school. For school groups aged 10–18.

Are you planning an Erasmus+ mobility for your pupils? Euneos helps schools arrange purposeful learning experiences in Finland, with an emphasis on joining ordinary lessons, collaborating with Finnish peers and discovering another approach to school life.

Designed for Erasmus+ school education projects: The programme can be planned to support group mobility of school pupils. Schools with an Erasmus+ grant may use available funding towards eligible costs. The relevant Erasmus+ activity is group mobility of school pupils. Read the official Erasmus+ Programme Guide for school pupil mobility.

Euneos works with VisitEDUfinn on local arrangements. The sending school and Finnish host school agree the educational content, learning outcomes and final programme; we can help with practical coordination.

What will pupils experience during Erasmus+ mobility in Finland?

The aim is genuine participation in Finnish school life, not a series of passive school visits. Depending on the host school and the group’s agreed learning objectives, pupils can:

  • Join regular lessons and learning activities with Finnish pupils
  • Work together in classroom projects and discussions
  • Practise communication, cooperation and intercultural skills
  • Discover Finnish school routines, teaching approaches and school culture

Two ways to structure the week

Option 1 — Five school days: Pupils spend five days at a Finnish host school, taking part in everyday lessons and joint activities.

Option 2 — Four school days plus an educational activity day: Combine host-school learning with an additional guided experience, such as a nature-based learning activity or a museum visit.

Dates, destinations and pricing

School-based mobilities can be arranged in the Helsinki metropolitan area or other parts of Finland, depending on host-school availability. Visits are generally offered 15 January–15 May and 1 September–15 December, excluding relevant school holidays, examination periods and other unavailable dates. Please check your preferred dates before making travel arrangements.

Standard pupil mobility fees

  • €350 per participant for the standard programme
  • €50 per participant per week for the mandatory school-lunch package
  • €100 additional fee per participant for registrations made less than 60 days before the visit
  • Prices exclude Finnish VAT (25.5%), where applicable

The programme includes the agreed host-school learning placement, local programme coordination, school lunches through the mandatory lunch package and a certificate of participation. It does not include flights, accommodation, other meals, personal expenses, insurance, visas or local transport unless separately agreed.

Other programmes for pupils

Looking for an educational visit that is different from school-based Erasmus+ group mobility? We also offer the following options. Their format and eligibility for Erasmus+ funding should be assessed separately.

Study tours and school visits

Combine visits to one or more schools with educational workshops, Finnish culture and activities such as a visit to Suomenlinna. These programmes are particularly suitable for groups seeking a broader overview of education and society rather than sustained participation in one host school.

Explore Euneos Study Tours or School Visits.

Sister-school partnerships

For schools seeking an ongoing international relationship, a sister-school arrangement can support longer-term collaboration, joint projects and future exchange visits. Partner matching, the agreement and associated activities are planned individually, with a tailored quotation.

Summer-school programmes

When regular Finnish schools are closed, pupils can take part in a separately arranged summer-school experience with educational workshops, hands-on learning, nature and cultural activities. This is distinct from attending regular lessons at a host school; please check Erasmus+ eligibility separately if your school intends to use grant funding.
