What an incredible way to kick off 2026! We’re still energized and inspired after hosting the 9th edition of the Lapland International Forum for Education (LIFE2026) last month. This year’s event was a remarkable success—filled with meaningful learning, new friendships, and countless unforgettable moments in the magical surroundings of Lapland, Finland. The energy, passion, and enthusiasm from our wonderful participants made this edition truly special.

We were thrilled to welcome 100 brilliant participants from 21 countries, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Luxembourg, Poland, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan and United States. Creating a truly global classroom. It’s always inspiring to see such a diverse group of education professionals come together to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and reflect on educational practices from around the world.

Highlights from Our Unforgettable Week at LIFE2026:

  • Expert Insights: Our keynote speakers delivered powerful insights into the future of education.
  • Finnish School Immersion: We gained hands-on experience in Finnish schools, observing innovative learning environments and engaging with teachers, principals, and students.
  • “Be a Student” Workshops: Participants became students again in workshops on home economics, nature pedagogy, snowshoeing, woodwork, and more.
  • Arctic Adventures: Beyond the classroom, we embraced the magic of Lapland with husky sledding, sleigh rides, hunting for the Northern Lights, and a visit to Santa Claus Village.
  • A Special Guest: The closing ceremony featured a surprise visit from Santa Claus himself, creating a truly magical finale to our week!
