🌟Finland Named the Happiest Country in the World for the 8th Consecutive Year!
Attention teachers, school staff and Erasmus Coordinators!
Great news—Finland has done it again! For the 8th consecutive year, Finland has been named the happiest country in the world by the UN World Happiness Report! , setting a global benchmark for well-being and satisfaction.
With an impressive score of 7.741 out of 10, Finland continues to lead the way in happiness. This year, the report also explores how caring and sharing boost happiness—for both givers and receivers. Finland tops the rankings once again, thanks to strong community support, mutual trust, and a sense of freedom.
At the launch event for the World Happiness Report, “The State of Happiness 2025,” Finnish Ambassador to the USA, Leena-Kaisa Mikkola, shared insights into why Finland consistently ranks as the happiest country in the world. She highlighted that the cornerstone of Finland’s happiness lies in trust—trust in institutions, trust among fellow citizens, and trust in good intentions. She also emphasized the benefits of a close connection with nature and the importance of Finland’s education system.
Regardless of where one lives in the country, the system equips citizens with essential life skills and ensures equal opportunities for all. These values have positioned Finland as a global leader of well-being!
